Shalom everyone!!
It's rather quiet around here, so I thought I would share an old blog article; maybe it'll spark a discussion Smiley

Here's one I wrote back on 4-28-07:

Yahweh has been showing me a few things lately. This week, I was listening to a song called, "Glorious Destiny"(Available on CD at www.hayovel.com); it's one of my favorites. Smiley Anyway, it came to the second verse, where it says, "You have no mark Yeshua can't erase, He suffered too so he could take your place," and it hit me. "Wow, Yahushua suffered just so He could take my place!" So if we deny the fact that Yahushua died for us, and say, "Oh, I'm too bad; I can't be forgiven. He didn't die for me, He died for those other people over there," We're not only saying He's a liar, but we're also hurting Him.

Just think for a moment, you see a little child about to be punished unjustly, and you walk over and say, "I'll take his punishment," and you do. Then say that child comes to you later, and says, "You don't really love me. You love the other kids more. You did that for the other kids, not for me," Oh, how painful that would be! You'd probably think, "Hey, look here, child, I just did that for you, and you say I don't love you and didn't do that for you?! Well, I must have done that for nothing!"

Well, think then, how much pain Yahushua must feel when we deny that He died for us! When we say we're too bad to be forgiven, so He doesn't forgive us! We want to be taken at our word, don't we? So why don't we take Yahweh and Yahushua at their word, the Holy Scriptures?

Why can't we accept the fact that Yahushua did come to die for us, and that Yahweh does forgive us? Well, we must. We must accept Them at Their word just as much as we want to be accepted at our word.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All scripture is given by inspiration of Elohim, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of Elohim may be complete; throroughly equipped for every good work."

It also says in John 3:16, "For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Also, in John 6:37, "All that the Father gives me will come to Me, and the one who comes to me I will by no means cast out,"

There's many more that tell of Yahweh's love for us, and that He indeed does forgive when we ask Him for forgiveness, in sincerity. So, let's take Him at His word, as much as we want to be taken at our word. Smiley

One particular scripture that has really blessed me is James 1:12. It says, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been proved, he will receive the crown of life which Yahweh has prepared for those who love Him,"

HalleluYah! Shabbat Shalom Smiley
